Day 1: Managua – Transfer Hotel

Arrival at Managua International Airport. Transfer to your first night's hotel where you will receive your travel documentation.

LeonDay 2: Managua – León

After your buffet breakfast you will meet our representative who is going to help you with taking possession of your vehicle and brief you about the tour. Once the formalities have been completed you can start on your trip to some of the most exciting destinations Nicaragua has to offer. First, head north along the shores of Lake Managua, accompanied by impressive views of Momotombo volcano. Oce you arrive in León, check in to your hotel room and take a stroll around the colonial city on your own.

Day 3: León – Hervideros San Jacinto – Estelí – La Concordia – San Rafael del Norte - El Jaguar

Start early to make the most of the day. Head towards the hot springs of San Jacinto, which bear testimony of powerful volcanic activity in the region. From there the drive will take you from the tropical dry area into the mixed vegetation of the Nicaragua's mountain range. After reaching the town of Estelí continue towards El Jaguar, passing the the towns of La Concordia and San Rafael del Norte along the way. El Jaguar is a private nature reserve nestled in the cool coffee growing region of Jinotega, it's also a family run farm that aims to produce high-quality environmentally friendly coffee in harmony with nature and the local community. There are many different interesting hiking trails that let you explore the amazing natural surroundings of this farm, in 200 acres of wet cloud forest.

MasayaDay 4 : El Jaguar – Jinotega – Sebaco - Masaya Volcano National Park – Granada

Explore the farm on your own, learning about organic coffee, reforestation and sustainability, while pbserving the rural life of the area. During your drive back to the Pacific, you will notice the climatic differences of the region. On the way to your next destination, make a trip to the Masaya volcano National Park. From the crater's edge, you will observe the clouds of gases emanating from Santiago crater. Next you will head towards Granada, the oldest colonial towns of the Americas. Enjoy the architecture and the monuments of the historic district of Granada by foot, or by horse drawn carriage and visit San Francisco Convent with its museum, the tower of La Merced Church ,where you can appreciate a full view of the city from the top, and 'La Casa de los Tres Mundos', showing art exhibitions featuring Nicaraguan artists.

Day 5 : Granada free at disposal

Breakfast at Hotel. Enjoy a full day in the charming colonial City and its surroundings. There are many things to do and see in the area only a relatively short distance away: You can visit Mombacho Cloud Forest, a protected cloud forest reserve with many plant and animal species or visit Apoyo Lagoon, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear waters.

IsletasDay 6 : Granada – Puerto Asese – Las Isletas – El Jicaro Ecolodge

At10:00 am you will drive over to Asese Port which is only about 10 minutes from the city center. Here you can park your vehicle and embark on a boat that will take you to your boutique hotel located on one of the 365 volcanic islands on Cocibolca Lake. This unique island getaway is a truly hidden gem, where the comfort blends with nature in perfect harmony. All rooms are nicely appointed with king size bed, private bathroom, mosquito netting, ceiling fans, comfy hammocks, large doors and windows for cross ventilation and a terrace with views over Lake Nicaragua. Today is free to spend as you wish - relax and enjoy your surroundings, go for a swim or explore the island.

Day 7 : El Jicaro Ecolodge - Puerto Asese – San Juan del Sur - Morgan’s Rock

Today you will take the boat back to the mainland and continue with your driving adventure, heading south and along the Pan-American Highway. On the way, you will have plenty of opportunity to observe the beautiful landscape: Ometepe Island, formed by two volcanoes, Maderas ( 1,370m) and Concepcion (1,610 m). We suggest a detour to the town of San Juan del Sur, a famous resort destination for Nicaraguans, which is located in a unique bay on the Pacific. From San Juan del Sur you will follow a country side road for half an hour to reach to the entrance of your Hacienda, your 'Eco Lodging' for the coming two nights.

Morgan's RockDay 8 : Morgan’s Rock free DAy at Your disposal

Day 9 : Morgan’s Rock – Managua Airport

After breakfast you will drive back to the country’s capital and reach Managua International Airport where you will drop off your rental car at the Budget booth before checking in for your flight home.

Extra Insurance is available and can be booked directly during the rental car delivery or, of course, it can also be booked in advance with no extra charge:

Collision damage waiver (C.D.W): US$12.50/day
If you get the C.D.W. (Collision Damage Waiver) its lost responsibility by damages of our vehicles will be limited. In case of accident, the maximum deductible by direct damage to the rented vehicle will be of $ 800.00 for 4x4 and SUV, OF $500.00 for Sedan. In case of partial or total theft the deductible is 20% of the vehicle value. Nevertheless, C.D.W. it will be annulled if the vehicle is surrounded in anyone of the "violations and described prohibitions of use" in the rent contract. In Nicaragua this insurance is obligatory to less than the client has a credit card that allows declining it.
Glass, tires and radio are excluded from coverage.
