A great adventure that combines the sights along the ring road and the highland in the same itinerary, including a stop at Hveravellir thermal area.

Arrival day: Upon arrival at the airport, a representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Reykjavik (this night's accommodation must be booked separately, it is not included in the package price).

Day 1: The South – Vík

Places of interest: Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Skógar with its magnificent waterfall and interesting folk museum. Vík in Mýrdalur, Dyrhólaey, a 120m high cape.
Driving Distance: approx. 190km
Accommodation in Vík area.

Jokulsarlon lagoon, Iceland

Day 2: The Southeast – Skaftafell, Vatnajökull

Places of interest: Skaftafell National Park Tours to Cape Ingólfshöfði on hay wagon. Boat trip on the glacial lagoon Jökulsárlón. The Vatnajökull glacier – tours on the glacier available if booked in advance. Fishing village Höfn.
Driving Distance: approx. 270km
Accommodation in Höfn area.

Day 3: The East – Egilsstaðir, East fjords

Places of interest: Great scenery of tall and uniquely formed mountains en route towards the East. A unique stone collection in Stöðvarfjörður village. The Lagarfljót River where the sea serpent "Lagarfljótsormur" allegedly lives.
Driving Distance: approx. 250km
Accommodation in Egilsstaðir area.

Day 4: Mývatn area

Places of interest: The Jökulsárgljúfur National Park. Ásbyrgi. Hljóðaklettar (Echo rocks). Dettifoss waterfall. Whale watching from Húsavík town. The geothermal area at Námafjall. Dimmuborgir. Lake Mývatn is one of the pearls of Icelandic nature and rich in both bird and plant life. Goðafoss waterfall.

Akureyri, Iceland

Day 5: The North, Akureyri, Skagafjörður

Places of interest: Akureyri town – the capital of the North. Skagafjörður, a district renown for its horse breeding

Day 6: Kjölur, The highland

Places of interest: Kjölur route – the interior. Hveravellir thermal area.
Driving Distance: approx. 200km
Accommodation in Gullfoss, Geysir area.

Day 7: The South – Gullfoss, Geysir, þingvellir

Places of interest: þingvellir National Park, Kerið, a 3000 year explosion crater. Gullfoss waterfall. Geysir hot spring. Skálholt cathedral.
Driving Distance: approx. 150km
Accommodation at a hotel or guesthouse of your choice (optional) in Reykjavík.

The rooms in Farmhouses, Farm Guesthouses and Country Hotels can be of four different cagetories:

I These rooms are simple, comfortable and adequate. The beds are made up and rooms cleaned daily. Clean towels are supplied. Guests have access to communal sitting room. Breakfast included.
II In addition to category I, all rooms have hand basins and are generally of a higher standard and better equipped. Breakfast included.
III In addition to categories I and II, rooms have private bathroom. These rooms can be in farmhouses, guesthouses and cottages. Breakfast included.
IV Rooms with private facilities in country hotels. Better equipped with TV, radio and sometimes coffee making facilities. Breakfast included.

All but the Country Hotels may have shared or private facilities. Country Hotels always offer the highest standard and have private facilities.
