Day 1: QUITO - GALAPAGOS

Today we will travel to one of the most amazing places in the world, the Galapagos Islands. This group of 13 major islands and dozens of smaller islets and rocks, are all the result of volcanic activity. These islands are in fact, an unpredictable wilderness, a living laboratory of evolution filled with an extraordinary population of unique species, which have developed apart from human influence. For nature lovers, the thrill is even greater: birds and more birds, playful sea lions, exotic plant life, volcanoes and haunting land seascapes.

The flight to the GALAPAGOS Islands departs early from Quito's domestic airport. Here you will have to pay de Ingala card US$ 10.00 and upon arrival in the Galapagos you we will have to pay the Galapagos National Park entrance fee (US$ 100 cash per person). Outside, your guide will be waiting for you in order to transfer us to your hotel. Lunch, and in the afternoon we will visit Frigate Bird Hill from where we have a spectacular view of the white beaches on one side and the roofs of Puerto Baquerizo on the other one. As the name implies, the hill is often visited by Frigate birds, and both magnificent frigate birds and great frigate birds can be seen. However, the birds are not always present. Return to the hotel to overnight.

Day 2: SAN CRISTOBAL ISLAND - ISABELA ISLAND

After an early breakfast we will fly to Isabela Island. Transfer to hotel. Our first excursion today takes us to the Wall of Tears, erected by convicts in the first half of this century when the island served as a penal colony. Many prisoners died during the work and that is how the construction earned its infamous name, 'Wall of Tears' or 'Muro de las Lagrimas'. Lunch, and in the afternoon we will visit the Tintoreras islet, where we can snorkel and hike. At Las Tintoreras we can find a colony of white tip sharks resting in a lava canal. Here we can snorkel or swim in this unique habitat of these animals. Besides we can find hundreds of marine iguanas, sea lions playing and relaxing in the sun on the sandy beaches. This is one of Isabela's most beautiful visitor sites. Late afternoon we will return to our hotel, where we will pend the night.

Further south south at the end of the rim of Sierra Negra Volcano you will get to the so-called 'Sulphur Volcano', where, as the name implies, a huge amount of sulphur is found due to the continuous action of fumaroles.
