This beautifully designed, solar run ecolodge is located 50km by road transfer and a 15 minute boat ride from David. It offers its visitors a truly environmentally friendly atmosphere. Perched on the tip of an untouched island in the Chiriqui Archipelago National Marine Park it is bordered by beautiful palm lined beaches and it's a true refuge to an abundance of wildlife which include: howler monkeys, ocelots, margays, jaguarundis, raccoons, ant-eaters, coyotes; in the bays and ocean: leatherback and hawksbill turtles, dolphins, whales and a wide variety of other tropical fish and birds.

Cala Mia is made up of 11 stunning Bungalows/suites, each with its own thatched roof rancho with handcrafted columns, large sofa and hammocks, and a nicely decorated bathroom with a large hot water shower all within 10 meters from the Pacific Ocean or the beach/bay-side. Some bungalows have private access to the nearby beaches. The Bungalow layouts consist of: One-bedroom with double twin-size beds, One-bedroom with king-size bed, Two-bedroom with 1 king-size bed and 2 twin-size beds.

A small neighboring island accessed by a hanging bridge houses a spa and yoga exercise area. This is the ideal area for meditation or yoga practices as the sun rises over the Pacific Ocean.

The bar-restaurant is built on the highest point of the small peninsula for breathtaking views of surrounding islands, bays, the resort's private beach and the 180 degree infinitive edge freshwater pool.

The kitchen provides best recipes of the traditional genuine Mediterranean kitchen, offering you the finest in quality and taste. The majority of the ingredients are from the owners' organic vegetable-garden and farm.

Activities
Activities include tours lead by the local people to nearby white sand beaches, islands and mangroves. Surfing and diving tours can also be arranged upon request.

Dedicated to an ecologically and socially aware clientele, Cala Mia realizes there are certain responsibilities towards the earth and its people. They arrange and dedicate programs to support the local communities and a percentage of each payment is dedicated to promoting these practices.
