The village of Tambor is located in the south of Nicoya Peninsula on the Pacific coast. A former fishing village, Tambor was has been growing and adapting to the increasing tourist activities of the area and now has some restaurants, bars and shops. Despite the developments, there are also some small and very nice hotels, which are really worth a short stay in this area: enjoy extended walks along the shore, or one of the many other options available including horseback riding, snorkeling, boat excursions, cycling are among the activities you can book at this hotel. Uniquely, this hotel also offers travellers the opportunity to interact with locals by inviting them to volunteer at local schools to tell students about their home country.

Day 1

You will be picked up in your hotel by Interbus (collective transfer). About 2 hours drive to Puntarenas, where you board the public ferry with your luggage at hand. At Paqueras on the Nicoyan Peninsula you will be picked up by another Interbus driver, who will take you some 30 more minutes to the hotel Tambor Tropical***(*).
