Selva Bananito

Wildlife at Selva Bananito Ecolodge, Costa RicaSelva Bananito Lodge is located on the Atlantic side of Costa Rica, at the edge of La Amistad International Park and 17 km from the coast. Thanks to its' private reserve, Selva Bananito Lodge protects the catchment areas of Bananito River, one of the most important supplier of drinking water for the city of Limón. Without these efforts, Limón would soon suffer serious problems with clean and drinkable water and it's certainly worth supporting the activities of Selva Bananito Lodge. It is an excellent spot for birdwatching, hiking, horseback riding and other activities. A total of 12 comfortable rooms with private bathroom, solar heated water and a large private terrace with hammocks facilitates easy birdwatching opportunities, even from your room. The restaurant also offers a breathtaking view towards the jungle and you enjoy traditional Costa Rican cuisine here as well as drinks at the bar. 10% of Selva Bananito's income is contributed to a foundation that protects this rainforest area.

There is no electricity at the lodge and you'll enjoy romantic candlelight dinners in the restaurant.
