Mount Everest Panorama Trek

This trek is ideal for those who only have a limited amount of time, yet still want to see MT. Everest and want to try out trekking in the Himalayas. This short trek is a perfect way to test yourself. Everest Panorama trek offers an introduction to the region, with relatively easy hikes and comfortable accommodations. It allows first-time trekkers to explore the most beautiful parts of the Khumbu region and experience some of the unique culture, and majestic scenery of the Himalayas.

A 35 minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes you to the start of the Everest Panorama Trek. Lukla is a unique Sherpa town of the Khumbu Region and a starting point for all treks in the Everest region.

The panorama trail starts following the Dudh Koshi River to reach Phakding for your first overnight stop in the mountains, before you make your way up to Namche Bazaar, a trading outpost where Tibetans and Nepalese people sell their wares. You will spend an extra day at Namche to get a view of Everest and the surrounding mountains, and to walk up to Khumjung village where the "Yeti Scalp" is kept in a monastery.

Namche Bazaar, a village located at 3,440 meters, it is a gateway to the high Himalayas and the administrative center for the Khumbu region. There are many hotels and shops, including a plethora of trekking gear merchants, in case you forgot anything. For the rest of the day in Namche Bazaar you can make a excursion to the small air strip at Syangboche and visit the Everest view hotel, strategically located to offer great close up views of the world’s highest mountains, Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Thamserku, Tawache and many other unnamed mountains and peaks.

Day 01: Arrival and Transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu

A representative will meet you at Tribhuban International Airport, in Kathmandu and transfer you to your hotel in the city.

Day 02: Preparation and Briefing for Departure to Everest Region

Today your guide will meet you for a briefing you about your trek and to complete the paperwork. It is also a chance to do some last minute shopping for anything you might need on the trek.

Day 03: Kathmandu-Lukla Scenic Flight and short trek to Phakding

Early in the morning we take you to Kathmandu domestic airport for the short flight to Lukla. For breakfast we will either provide a packed breakfast or we will stop for breakfast in Lukla before starting our trek to (4hrs) to Phakding (2652m).

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar Trek

After breakfast we start trekking from Phakding toward Namche Bazaar (3440m). This is a 5-6 hours hike through colorful Khumbu villages. Accommodation: at a teahouse or lodge.

Namche Bazaar, NepalDay 05: Rest day for acclimatization

Today we rest in order to give the body a chance to acclimatize to the high altitude. If you are up for it you can hike up to the famous Everest View Hotel (3800m) (3hrs) to catch a glimpse of Mt. Everest and then return back to Namche, and visit the Hilary and Sherpa museum.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Lukla Trek

Today is your last trekking day (7hrs) as you return to Lukla (2840m).

Day 07: Fly Back to Kathmandu

A short flight (35min) will return you from Lukla to Kathmandu where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Day 08: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Enjoy an extra day in Kathmandu to do some sight-seeing and shopping. A half day city tour is included in the package to visit some of the most famous sites in and around Kathmandu Valley. Enjoy a special farewell dinner at a typical Nepali cultural restaurant.

Day 09: Kathmandu to Your Port of Destination

Unless you are continuing to another destination in Nepal, our representative will take you to the International Airport (TIA) for your departure flight.
