the National Park Vicente Perez
Rosales dominated by the impressive,

Volcano. Optional is a stop

With a distinguished European influence the hotel's structure is a warm invitation to keep in mind the legacy of the first settlers that inhabited this untamed region. As we arrive to the hotel, you can settle into one of its great rooms knowing that our guides are already working so you can have a head start; right after lunch, get ready for your first half day excursion. Overnight in Petrohué. (L, D)
We will be leaving the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park and head south, where we can appreciate the changing of the surroundings into a rougher, rockier and more spectacular landscape; Patagonia is approaching… After an hour we arrive at the small town of Cochamó located at the shore of the Estuary of Reloncavi and offering beautiful views of snow topped volcanoes and mountains. Leaving the town and entering the Cochamó Valley we start to understand why this valley is often referred to as the "Yosemite of the South", offering lots of waterfalls, peaceful meadows, ancient trees (Alerce trees with over 2500 years of age) and most of all due to its similarity of the imposing granite walls found in both areas. We will have a picnic lunch in the Cochamó Valley and continue our way South towards the town of Puelo, gateway to the isolated Valley of Puelo. It takes about an hour to get to the town
and from there another hour ferry ride across the gorgeous Tagua Tagua Lake. The Puelo Valley is located in the Southern Lake District at about 130 km
Southeast of Puerto Varas. The glacial Valley runs from Argentina all the way down to the Estuary of Reloncavi which connects to the Pacific Ocean. The valley
is characterized by remote landscapes, crystal clear, deep blue rivers and lakes reflecting the surrounding mountains. We will be spending 2 nights in the Valley discovering its beauties and charms. Overnight in the Mitico Lodge. (B, BL, D)
Today we can go for a hike to the waterfalls located across the Tagua Tagua Lake in front of the hotel or enter the valley and visit the 'pasarel'", a firm and authentic bridge crossing the emerald colours of the Puelo River flowing down from the South. You will cross the crystal clear river Manso, pass by the Totoral and Blanco Lakes, visit the village of Llanada Grande and witness local life and farmers going about their daily activities. The Valley takes you back in time and the peace and quiet that accompany you on this trip are impressive and definitel worth your while. After a day of outdoor activities we can relax at the hotel, enjoying its surroundings and beautiful views of the Tagua Tagua Lake. (B, L, D)
After breakfast we will take the ferry back to Puelo and drive back to Puerto Montt to continue our travels in Chile. (Airport) (B)
