Set on the edges of a lagoon, Lamanai Outpost Lodge has immediate access to supreme wildlife observation, even right from your verandah. A flexible schedule of activities lets you choose your day's adventures 'à la carte' At Lamanai Outpost you can choose from the country's largest range of fully guided soft-adventure experiences that start right from your cabaña's doorstep and do not require day trips. Voted Belize's Hotel of the Year for 1999/2000, the Outpost is consistently utilized by high-end travel companies and is widely recognized as one of Belize's finest jungle lodges.
'Lamanai' means 'submerged crocodile' and the lagoons near the lodge are a good place to see them. Guided excursions after dark allow you to discover the nocturnal wildlife of the lagoons.
Whether you arrive at the International Airport in Belize City or are already in Belize, you can take advantage of the lodges regularly scheduled shuttle service between the airport and the lodge, which runs three times a day. This shuttle service is included in the regular packages and comprises of a 45 minute drive north of Belize City, where you will be transfered to a boat. The boat journey takes about an hour and takes you deep into the interior of the country.
