Although we currently only offer one short trip that properly classifies as a Horseback Riding Adventure, an overnight trip to Cabo Blanco Wildlife Reserve, there are some lodges where it is possible to rent horses and explore the local area on horseback. This section will be expanded in the future.

We meet the guide and horses and after some basic riding instructions, we start riding along an old mining road that leads us up to a hidden valley that reveals a fabulous view of hanging glacier. Many tourists visit it, but we take a different approach, where we will barely see anyone else except possibly a mountaineer. We ride to the foot of the glacier where there is a lake, blue in late summer and frozen white in early summer. 	Send inquiry Easter Island Horseback Riding Adventure This tour offers the great opportunity to explore Easter Island on horseback. Easter Island is the most isolated place on the planet, with a distance of 3.000 km from the nearest populated point. The inhabitants carved 100 ton basalt statues (called moai) from a quarry in the side of a volcano. The statues were then transported many kilometers to the coast and erected on giant stone altars. -How and why the inhabitants of the island achieved this may always remain a mystery. 	Send inquiry HACIENDA CASA TURIRE This beautifully restored hacienda offers comfortable accommodations in a typical rural hacienda setting. Located near Turrialba, the hacienda is surrounded by green hills, coffee- and sugar cane plantations. The year round spring temperatures make this place an ideal hideaway for an unforgettable, authentic hacienda stay. Casa Turire belongs to the higher standards of hotels in Costa Rica and includes 12 rustic-luxury decorated standard rooms and 5 suites, larger and with better view than the standard rooms. The whole historic building was rebuilt with a lot of charming style and love for details. The comfortable restaurant, a cozy bar, reading rooms, entertainment, games and the reception can be found on the ground floor. A bright covered interior hall offers some sitting areas. All rooms are located on the first floor and offer a terrace with a nice view over the surroundings of the hacienda. A wooden pergola covered with flowering bushes offers some shade and protects the small pool area with Jacuzzi. The front desk offers many different activities and tours. Although we do not offer a specific horseback riding package with this hacienda, horses and guides from their own stable can be hired here for excursions into the local area. View details
	Send inquiry LAGUNA DEL LAGARTO LODGE Lagarto Lodge is set on a hill about 40m above sea level and offers a wonderful view of the coastline of Ostional, the mountains, the river mouth from Rio Nosara and also over the forest, which belongs to the Reserva Biológica Nosara. The beautiful beach is only a 10 minute walk away. The hotel has access 10 km of trails which are rich in wildlife. It is a good place for birdwatching and nature observation. They also have their own horses and offer tours according to your wishes and ability that explores the forest or let you gallop down the beach. These tours are individually arranged and limited to 4 participants only. Horseriding tours are not part of our regular Nosara package, but can be arranged directly at the hotel. View itinerary
