	Send inquiry SELVA BANANITO LODGE Selva Bananito Lodge is a secluded rain forest lodge situated 20 km south and 15 km inland of Puerto Limón on the Atlantic side of Costa Rica. It is an excellent spot for birdwatching, hiking, horseback riding and other activities. A total of 12 comfortable rooms with private bathroom, solar heated water and a large private terrace with hammocks facilitates easy birdwatching opportunities, even from your room. 	Send inquiry RARA AVIS Rara Avis is a biological station and a lodge, protecting a large part of the rainforest close to Braulio Carillo National Park. The rustic lodge was built in the middle of the jungle, where you can explore the trails and visit a beautiful waterfall. The transfers from Horquetas are operated by Jeep, and that's the only way to reach Rara Avis. 16 rustic rooms and a restaurant belong to the lodge. 	Send inquiry HIKING COPE NATIONAL PARK This hiking adventure will definitely take you off the beaten trek. El Cope National Park is very inaccessible and thus little visited. There are only the most basic facilities at the rangers station, so it is not a trip for comfort seekers. But the park is excellent for birdwatching and wildlife observation. It is also one of the few parks from where one can catch a glimpse of both, the Pacific and the Atlantic ocean at the same time. Thanks to a recent makeover by US PeaceCorps the trails are in very good condition - though you would never guess judging by the road on which you drive up to this remote piece of paradise. Accommodation for most nights is in tents. During the days, we will enjoy paddling in the morning to take advantage of calmer seas and allowing time in the afternoon to explore the unique ecosystem around the campgrounds. We will be able to look for tropical fish, sponges, lobsters, turtles and other sea life native to the area. Coiba is the biggest island. The area of the land on the islands combined with the marine territory comes to the amazing total of 270,125 hectares (650,000 acres), making it one of the most extensive marine parks in the world. This park protects three different kinds of ecosystems: the island, reef and marine life. Due to its geographical location a penal colony was established here in 1910, the remains can still be seen today because of this situation the forest on the Coiba Island remained untouched. On this itinerary, we sail, paddle and snorkel our way along the wild southern Barrier Reserve, camp on idyllic tropical islets and explore underwater coral reefs. We then head inland to follow a river through the world renowned Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Reserve. Paddle among dolphins, sea turtles and eagle rays; raise sails to the northeasterly trades and feel the thrill as your kayak skims over the sea with the energy of the wind. 	Send inquiry CAMPING TOURS TO MANU Manu National Park was established in 1977 and in recognition of its uniqueness was designated a "World Heritage Site" ten years later. Manu is internationally acclaimed as one of the most biodiverse areas on earth. It is home to over 1000 species of birds, 15,000 species of plants, over 200 species of mammals, and untold numbers of insects, and within its heart remain yet uncontacted peoples. Wildlife aside, however, the journey into the park itself is amazingly spectacular and not to be missed. Access to Manu is normally by road. The two day trip from Cusco to the entrance of the Manu Reserved Zone carries you over the Andes mountains to an elevation of 4000 m, past pre-inca ruins and down through the cloud forest on the eastern side of the Andes, and finally into lush, lowland rainforest. Roads remain largely unpaved and wind their way precariously past cascading waterfalls, deep gorges, and precipices. Manu is truly a complete experience.
